About Green Forest Ink
Green Forest Ink is an initiative designed to encourage the use of eco friendly newspaper pens with an aim to replace the currently existing plastic body pens. These pens are made by the rural women of India and making these pens provides them with a livelihood while empowering them at the same time.
Along with the promotion of the pens, we organize the collection of old and used plastic pens which are sent for recycling. These drives have been conducted in 10 societies so far and we aim to expand them. Till now, 35 kg of plastic including 2000 pens have been collected and sent for recycling,
Sadhika Anand and Samaara Arora, students from The Shri Ram Aravali, started this project off by setting up a stall on PTM Day in our school and have successfully sold over 2500+ pens!

On our journey to spread awareness, we conduct workshops with organisations and schools. Till date, we have conducted 4 workshops in collaboration with Amba Foundation, Harmony House, SK Children's Foundation and Lotus Petals Foundation educating 180+ students!
Meet Our Founders
Sadhika Anand
Sadhika Anand is a 16-year-old studying at The Shri Ram School, Aravali. Having a zeal for the environment, she intends to involve people around in making our planet simply green. She is a teen writer and an eco warrior passionate about educating people about the prevailing environmental problems and making them love our ecosystem! Her hobbies include reading, jamming to the tunes of the latest songs and enhancing her knowledge about world affairs.
Samaara Arora
Samaara Arora is a 16-year-old studying at The Shri Ram School, Aravali. The co-founder of this initiative loves to read and to bake. Music is her therapy, don’t get her started on Taylor’s music- she WILL eat your ear off for as long as you’re near her. An ambitious and driven person, all she wants as of now is to get into the college of her dreams and for Taylor and Joe to get back together
